A New Way of Advertising

A lot of the commercials that we see on T.V. are more geared towards today's world in the sense that they are now using things like technology and popular trends that go around. One commercial in particular is by Burger King. Their commercial is only fifteen seconds but is very interesting because it doesn't really advertise their new burger. What it does is tell people to google their burger and let technology advertise their burger for them. Technology has become such a big part of every one's lives and this commercial is trying to take advantage of that. They are relying on technology to help sell their new burger. One major flaw i noticed with this commercial is that what if google says something that you don't want them saying about the new burger? Technology may help advertise for you but it may not as well because using google is going to give a wide range of definitions and some of these definitions may discuss the good parts of it while others may talk ab...

1 Story 2 Different Ways

On Friday, April 28th, North Korea launched nuclear missiles in response for the desire for increased pressure by other countries. Both CNN and The Washington Post wrote articles about this event, the articles mainly discussed the same and both detailed the event but there were small differences that may change the viewpoint of the reader.       The main difference that i noticed was the content and language between the two articles. They use direct quotes and even tweets from significant people involved in this event. This may appeal to the casual reader more because they are more accustomed to to it. In CNN's article the reader may not know what to do with some of t...

I am exposed to media all the time whether i am watching T.V. or i hear an ad when i am listening to music. Although it may not influence me right away, overtime it does, because whenever i think of something i need or a product that i want, i usually think of a certain brand or manufacturer. This is because of advertisement and other forms of media. Sometimes advertisement can be very influential because it has a catchy song or slogan that it repeats in all of its commercials, and these ads want us to believe that their product is better than others. I am a victim of this. Sometimes when I'll think that one brand is better than another because it is more well known and i see it everywhere. When in reality it may not be, it is because of media that i think this.               Media can be both good and bad ...
